The Brindle collection board showcases the striking contrast found in New England Hickory. This durable board serves as a sturdy everyday chopping board or complements the dining table as a serving piece, with a renewable oil finish. The overall board measures 14 by 7 by 3/4-inches.

Wooden boards possess natural anti-bacterial properties, and any bacteria left on the board will diminish over time, unlike on a plastic cutting board. A wooden board is also gentler on the edge of your knife, and it simply feels and sounds better when used.

To maintain the board, hand wash it in warm soapy water, dry it thoroughly, and frequently oil it with mineral oil to preserve its appearance. Avoid soaking, microwaving, freezing, or putting it in the dishwasher. For removing stains, you can use a weak bleach-and-water solution or a combination of lemon juice and salt, followed by rinsing and oiling with mineral oil. If the surface becomes worn, it can be sanded to restore its new look, though a board with wear will add character to your kitchen. To prevent fading, store the board away from strong sunlight.

The rich heritage and folk lure of the great Yankee Woodworker have been well-known for centuries, and the craft has been passed down through generations. J.K. Adams' success is largely attributable to the early Vermonters employed by the company in its infancy, who brought forth the techniques and quality craftsmanship that could only come from shared knowledge and experience. The J.K. Adams factory has been at the same location since the beginning, with as many as three generations of families relying on the company for their livelihoods. Located in a rural area of Vermont, J.K. Adams remains one of the largest employers in the area and is an important pillar of support for the local community.

J.K. Adams has always utilized the creativity and skill of their workforce in developing new products, and today, they continue their New England craftsmanship with a wide variety of cutting boards, wooden salad bowls, kitchen islands, and slate serving trays. At the J.K. Adams factory, future generations of woodworkers are building upon the traditions that began over 65 years ago.

All cutting boards and other products made by J.K. Adams are manufactured in the USA. The broad arrow, adopted as the company's logo, symbolizes the exceptional quality of wood that goes into their products, which is a legacy of the colonial New England practice of using three strokes of a broad ax to mark the finest trees in the forest for the Queens' Navy shipmasts.
